පිපාසිත හදවතක්
දෑත් දික් කර නඟන
අඳෝනා නෑසේද
 උඩ ඉන්න දෙවියන්ට

චණ්ඩ හිරු රැස් ද හැම
අවදි කරමින් නිබඳ
කුරිරු සුළඟ ද ඇවිත්
පොළොව සිපගත් එලෙස

වියැළුණු සිත් ඇතිව
ඉරිතැළුණු මහපොළව
මඟබලන බව හැඟේ
 කවූරුදෝ එනතුරා
